Automation Technologies-Advance Level

The course is designed to build skills in such a manner that upon completion, the student will have the skills needed to design and implement new ideas and schemes in industrial automation. The course starts with basics of industrial actuation system, covering hardware, software and architecture to advance concept utilization of modular automation system along with hands-on training sessions on Electro – Pneumatic, Electro – Hydraulic, Proportional Hydraulics and Mobile Hydraulics based actuation system in addition with Motion Drive control system and graphic user interfaces in Industrial automation.

  • Overview of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics.
  • Introduction to Proportional Hydraulics.
  • Configuration of mechanical equipment and electrical controls for assembly and conveying systems.
  • Concept of Assembly and conveying systems.
  • Hands-on with Modular Automation System.
  • Human Machine Interface: Operation and programming
  • SCADA
  • Communication Protocol: Profibus
  • Drive parameterization
  • Introduction to M code & G codes
  • Part programming, subroutine, standard cycles
  • PLC controlled positioning mode (MLD-M)
  • Virtual & Real Master Configuration on MLD
  • Velocity & Phase synchronization
  • Hands-on with motion control system

After undergoing the program, the participants will be able to:

  • Setup Cross Communication between different type of automation equipment’s.
  • Describe working of servo systems and set up its communication with logic controllers.
  • Connect Fluid actuators with the PLC and other systems like sensors and electrical actuators.
  • Use various Servo and PLC function like master and slave mode control.
  • Expertise in electro-hydraulic and electro-pneumatic systems and associated circuits.
