AKGEC SKILLS FOUNDATION, an initiative promoted by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC) in
collaboration with National Skill Development Corporation to strengthen ‘Skill India’ mission launched by Ministry of
Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India.

The objective of this initiative is to encourage skill development for youth to align their technical competency to meet manpower requirement of modern Industries established under ‘Make in India’ initiative of Govt. of India. It also aims to nurture creativity and innovation in youth to promote Entrepreneurship.

Under this initiative, Skill development activity for young aspirants, ranging from 8th/10th class onwards, Diploma/ITI and Graduate/ Post graduate in engineering & science including Industry employees at middle and senior level, are conducted. The developed skills help them to advance their career and enhance their employment opportunity in the field of Automation, Robotics, Manufacturing and Fabrication.

To provide excellence in engineering education and prepare young scientists and engineers for leadership positions in academia, industrial research and development.
To train young professionals and enable Indian industry to attainglobal leadership by establishing a world class Center for Training,Research and Product development in the field of Automation & Robotics.

National Skill Development Corporation

The National Skill Development Corporation, (NSDC) is a one of its kind, Public Private Partnership in India. It aims to promote skill development by catalyzing creation of large, quality, for-profit vocational institutions.

NSDC provides funding to build scalable, for-profit vocational training initiatives. Its mandate is also to enable support systems such as quality assurance, information systems and train the trainer academies either directly or through partnerships. NSDC acts as a catalyst in skill development by providing funding to enterprises, companies and organisations that provide skill training. It will also develop appropriate models to enhance, support and coordinate private sector initiatives. The differentiated focus for the 21 sectors under NSDC’s purview and its understanding of their viability will make every sector attractive to private investment.

The approach is to develop partnerships with multiple stakeholders and build on current efforts, rather than undertaking too many initiatives directly, or duplicating efforts currently underway. To scale up efforts necessary to achieve the objective of skilling / up-skilling 150 million people, the NSDC strives to:

  • Develop ultra low cost, high-quality, innovative business models
  • Attract significant private investment
  • Ensure that its funds are largely “re-circulating”; i.e. loan or equity rather than grant
  • Create leverage for itself
  • Build a strong corpus.

Ghaziabad Management Association

GMA has striven for management expertise that can synthesize Indian ethos with international management thought and practices since its inception. During the short span of its existence, GMA has taken deep roots in the industrial city of Ghaziabad and has become an important forum of the business executives and other members to share their experiences and ideas to further the cause of management. It is striving to outline the present and future problems concerning management, while looking for perfect harmony in human relationships, which can take many forms, such as corporate, employers, employees, customers, and the members of the society we live in and facilitate individuals and organizations to include best management programs.

Automation Industry Association (AIA)

Automation Industry Association (AIA) founded in 2004, is India’s apex automation industry body, with over 40 high tech automation companies. The technologies they represent encompass electrical automation, mechanical automation, continuous and batch process automation, robotics, machine vision, assembly and material handling systems, sensors, controllers, actuators, communication devices, HMI, real-time software, simulation, training, and a host of interface and supporting sub-systems AIA has pioneered the vendor-neutral approach in spreading knowledge and creating awareness on Global standards and practices. The Automation Centres of Excellence established at IIT Madras and Apollo Knowledge Institute, Vadodara are national facilities supported by AIA.

National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC)

National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), is an ISO 9001-2008 certified Government of India Enterprise under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). NSIC has been working to promote, aid and foster the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises in the country. NSIC operates through countrywide network of offices and Technical Centers in the Country. To manage operations in African countries, NSIC operates from its office in Johannesburg, South Africa. In addition, NSIC has set up Training cum Incubation Centre managed by professional manpower. NSIC provides technical support to MSMEs through 'NSIC Technical Services Centers’ (NTSCs) and a number of TICs & LBIs spread across the country. The range of technical services provided through these centres include skill development in Hi-Tech as well as conventional trades, material and product testing at our testing laboratories accredited by NABL / BIS, common facilities, energy audit, environment management etc.

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the development of India, partnering industry, Government, and civil society, through advisory and consultative processes. CII is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed organization, playing a proactive role in India's development process. Founded in 1895, India's premier business association has over 8000 members, from the private as well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership of over 200,000 enterprises from around 240 national and regional sectoral industry bodies. Extending its agenda beyond business, CII assists industry to identify and execute corporate citizenship programmes. Partnerships with civil society organizations carry forward corporate initiatives for integrated and inclusive development across diverse domains including affirmative action, healthcare, education, livelihood, diversity management, skill development, empowerment of women, and water, to name a few.


FPSI is a non-profit professional body committed to promoting Fluid Power knowledge and technology in the country. The Fluid Power Industry has evolved comprehensively over the last century and has generated intensive research, efficient production systems and integrated applications. The fluid power industry has three large segments: mobile hydraulics, industrial hydraulics and pneumatics. Historically, the mobile hydraulic segment has been the largest, accounting for about 50% of total fluid power sales. The industrial hydraulic and pneumatic segments are nearly the same size, each with about 25% of total fluid power sales .
